Our Story. Built from a shared frustration.
Our journey started in 2024 with a discussion between close friends that led to a shared realisation: finding important documents was getting harder, and the ways to share them securely were limited.
This was despite some of us being known for superb file management. Yet the problem was affecting all of us, regardless of how organised we were.
As engineers, that felt odd and we did what we're trained to do: follow the empirical evidence and find the solution.
We carried out wider sampling and deeper analysis, and the core issue became clear: the old model relied on finding documents through search, remembering where they were and trusting how they were shared - putting the burden largely on the user. As our reliance on digital documents grew, the risk profile for managing important documents widened, and so did the cognitive load.
The gap was clear: the current tools had reached their limits, and important personal documents needed a new kind of solution.
So, after two years of careful engineering, we built bespoke document management software for important documents, designed for everyone, with all the enterprise-grade features - without the corporate fluff.
ALPS was launched in 2026 with a single aim:
